Several years ago, my Dad had me take a scuba diving class. It was the most worthwhile class with the most useful information I have ever taken. Since then my Dad and I have logged a lot of dives. My ultimate dream job would be to become a commercial diver in a beautiful warm place like Florida or in the Bahamas. I love diving so much, that to make a whole career of it would be amazing and fulfilling. When you are down underwater it is almost as if the world above you no longer exists. The underwater world is perceived in a totally different light when you can breathe beneath the surface.I want to buy a small hut, like you see in the movies with the grass roof and the bamboo siding. It will have a pier going out into the sea with a staircase leading down to a dock. Attached to the dock will be a sailboat on the left side, which I will use to take people on sailing trips when I am not diving. On the right side of the dock, will be a Grady White motorboat that I can use to take customers out to go diving on stunning and colorful coral reefs. During most of my time customers can hire my services to go on wreckage dives to collect lost items. Diving on shipwrecks is amazing. The pressure of the water dragging the ship down to the bottom has blown out the portholes. Where you used to see the horizon line through the portholes you now see little fish swimming in and out of their vacant circles. Going in the ships can be scary, especially if you are scared of tight spaces, but I am always amazed to see how fully intact objects are that have been lost for so long. The mud on the bottom helps preserve articles that would otherwise have crumbled and disintegrated soon after touching the water.Nothing would make me more satisfied than to see as much of the world beneath the ocean as possible. Sharing part of my life and experience with other people would also be thrilling. I love showing people how to dive and taking them to see things they can only see underwater. It can be a once in a lifetime experience for some people, and seeing their smiles as a huge fish swims past their face is something that can only be appreciated if you see it for yourself. I hope someday my dream job can become a reality for me instead of just a wish.

Just like school, learning is progress. You can’t simply remain at the same level year in and year out. Scuba diving requires the same progression. First, interested scuba divers have to enroll themselves in basic scuba diving courses. After they have obtained the fundamental skills and the needed knowledge of the underwater hobby, then they can proceed to the advanced level. The next step is the Advanced Open Water Diver Course or what is simply known as the AOW. Here, advanced scuba skills are directly applied to the marine sport scuba diving. A card from the AOW is issued to the diver who passes this course. This card must be presented at several diving areas in countries such as Australia, Malaysia and the Philippines because they won’t allow you to dive at advanced locations if you don’t have the AOW card. Operators wouldn’t want to take the risk of putting Open Water divers to an advanced level. They would have a harder time coping with rocky currents or dangerous, azure water environments. An advanced scuba diver must be knowledgeable of the education ahead of him. There are 5 dives required for the completion of the Advanced Open Water Diving Course. The required 2 basic Core dives are Underwater Navigation and Deep Navigation. The scuba diver has the liberty to select which three remaining Adventure Dives he would like to master. The course is targeted specially for certified divers who want to gain more experience, obtain more knowledge and gain more practical skills. The most popular Adventure Dives are 1.) Underwater Photography or Peak Performance Buoyancy Dive 2.) Underwater Navigation or Naturalist Dive and 3.) Night and Deep and Photography Dives. Examples of advanced scuba diving tips:1. In the navigation dive, you will be taught how to use the compass better for natural navigational aids that will assist you in your underwater journey. 2. In deep diving, you will be allowed to dive 18 meters or 60 feet. After having completed the course, then you will be allowed to go beyond that range and reach 30 meters or 100 feet. 3. In adventure dive, you will be able to explore diving like observing the underwater lide and plants. After knowing, the basics of diving, there is the desire to acquire knowledge and skills for more diving enjoyment. As a diver, have you ever tried surfacing far, far from the crew boat you were in then have that long indepedent swim back? Having obtained advanced scuba diving lessons would allow you to do so – with confidence.

There are 2 primary items to think of when going for certification. Number one is to pass a health exam by your doctor. You may wish to make sure that you are in good condition before taking up this demanding sport. You don’t need to discover while you’re hundreds of feet below the surface that there is a difficulty with your heart, lungs or consciousness. The next thing to understand is that you’ve got to be able to swim. It is not a priority to grasp a bunch of swimming strokes, however, be ready to swim about two hundred meters and tread water or float for approximately ten mins. There are around two thousand scuba diver training centers in North America, so you might find one fairly close to your home. Make sure that the diver center has a good reputation, you may find inventories of this scuba equipment on the web. 2 of the certification agencies, PADI and NAUI have lists on their Internet sites which will assist you. When you’ve selected a dive training center, ensure that their instructors are allowed with one of the major scuba diver training agencies. You will be receiving a large quantity of tech as well as functional information from them, be sure they’re allowed to instruct it! When you’ve located your instructor, there are 2 items that you must be prepared for in the authentication process. There will be a massive period of time spent in the class room, mastering technical capabilities and being tested to be sure that you’ve got the mandatory information. You may then move on to a pool where they may teach you functional abilities for scuba certification.Eventually, you can go on approximately 4 open water dives, this is often in a lake or ocean depending upon your area of study. This could all usually be completed in a weekend (though you will have to do some bookwork ahead of this) or over 2 weeks, depending upon your schedule. The open water dives can be another a couple of days. Lots of work goes into earning your scuba diving certificate. Nonetheless, it will be one of the best adventures of your life.
